“At fifty, everyone has the face he deserves"  George Orwell, 1903-1950

And I add again:

The mind, the body and the health we deserve!

I do have what I deserve! But I guess unlike many, I am happy with I have!

“I've learned that I must find positive outlets for anger or it will destroy me. There is a certain anger: it reaches such intensity that to express it fully would require homicidal rage--self destructive, destroy the world rage--and its flame burns because the world is so unjust. I have to try to find a way to channel that anger to the positive, and the highest positive is forgiveness.”

The Measure of a Man: A Spiritual Autobiography, 2000

May your life be this way starting today!

Getting Older

I like "getting older" because I'm actually getting more self-confident, wiser, life having more "shades and hues"...

I don't want to get that point in life when one reaches "above 60+" and feels "old", "heavy and sad" inside, or "dry and hopeless".

John Wayne

A thought about this:  Stupidity means to me "laziness of mind" or even worst, "intentionally lazy..." Shame it doesn't hurt!

Mifune Toshiro

What his words mean to me:

Be brave, and don’t compromise*. Stay true to yourself no matter what!

*Of course, smart people will always know what compromise in life means. No, not "IQ intelligent", but smart, you know, that penny dropping thing.

Generosity

I've truly experienced this in my life... being the person who helped or could have helped... and seeing others when they could help but they didn't!

And it is so! We are damn aware when we are selfish, don't lie to yourself, admit when you're selfish, and at least ask the Universe to do... your "job"!

True Help

There are a lot of people who give you with one hand, and take back or ask in return with "two hands"... or even more!

This one, I've never did it... I mean asking in return. I was selfish in life when I could have been generous... but whenever I was generous, didn't ask anything in return.

Help and Helper

A friend, Sheila, answered me "Goes both ways". Damn she was right!

Heart Decisions

Think with your mind, analyze, delimit, build hypotheses... after you're done, choose with your heart!

It's our emotions that drive us! whether they are joyful or fearful! Now think of that, I mean of what truly motivates you! Of course, I wish everyone to have only joyful ones... it's damn sad when fear dictates! and it does, alas, for most of us, most of the times.

Keep Love in Your Heart!

I am not a mean or selfish soul, but when I see beings full of envy or hatred, really... I can't love them!

And because I don't want to be "contaminated" by their "load", I just keep the distance, and don't "return" the hate... there is no need actually, it will be attracted anyway!

Corbi

These words aren't mine but my late ex-husband's. They were among his favorites... I keep remembering them, actually life makes me remember them, and him, too!

He was my best friend, the best friend a woman could have in a man, honestly!

Just posting...

And thinking how painful must be longing for something your whole life...  souls in this world carrying a bitter heart day after day.

The quality of your life depends also on the quality of people you have in your life.

Eyes and soul, a good way to sift. I always look in people for their souls; eyes are the first thing to tell me if there truly is one inside of them... Empty people, empty eyes!

Forever looking for sparkling eyes! This is why she was so so exceptional.

When a woman truly believes that, her beauty is reflected in a sweet glow on her face, gentleness in her moves, a deep and comforting voice…

We often "feel" that kind of beauty in a woman, but we can't identify in  any physical trait she might have, we feel it but we can't see it!

Don't Quit Smoking... Quit Commercial Cigarettes!

Sometime ago I've had a convo with my friend Ron; it inspired me to write this little post.

Of course, he was telling me smoking is bad... and I agree, but in a different way! It's not the tobacco that is "bad", but the chemicals used in the production process! Do this instead: Roll your own cigarettes and replace part of the tobacco with tea / herbs leaves.

This "Under Construction" means a new "LIFE" jotting will be placed here some day.
